The location near the motorway but still in a quiet area was really good. The pool and restaurant were excellent and all the people working there were really nice and helpful. We had a problem with the room that smelled of cigarette. The lady from the reception provided an air purifier and it helped. The cleaning of the room could be better.

I would anticipate that I am a platinum Accor hotel member , so by definition I had the pleasure to see hundreds of novotel in the word . Positive : -good breakfast and wonderful location in the garden . -open and common space quite clean and welcoming . Negative : -moquette in the room is more than obsolete , very dirt and with a really bad smelt . -most of the staff people are not speaking English at all , both during breakfast than at the bar . It has been hard even to have a bottle of water ….this is really not acceptable . Please consider these comments as an incentive to do better . Hotel is nice and few improvements are really needed . This is a Novotel below the standard .

We were quite disappointed by this hotel. Overall, the hotel needs a refresh. It is showing its age. The room had an old smoking room smell which was not pleasant. The carpet was dirty. There was no room cleaning service during our stay, which was OK for the two nights we spent there. Some of the common doors and windows could definitely use some paint. On the bright side, the breakfast buffet was just fine.

Please be assured that we do our utmost to maintain an impeccable level of hygiene. Our rooms are non-smoking, but some people do not respect this prohibition and it can take several days, despite the air freshener, before the smell disappears completely. We recommend that our clients contact the reception desk who will do what is necessary to assign you another room according to availability. In addition, and taking into account the sanitary obligations linked to Covid19, the cleaning of the rooms, for short stays, is done at the request of the customer. Stayed one night at 3rd of September, 2021. I was on a business trip just passing through. lobby seemed OK. after checking in, I went to the elevator, a terrible smell welcomed me. which came from old carpet and doors. well i ended up my room 2XX, which was on first floor. Carpet on the 1st floor was even worst, and when i thought it wont get any worst. i came in the room. and carpet had a really bad smell. looks like it came from some cow farm. Toilet and bathroom had old wooden floor and were very smelly. Bathroom and WC were old but quite clean. There were no AC in the room. I opened the window which open towards pool and another strange smell came in. we decided not to eat here. after dinner when I got back it was late, i wanted to sleep. now it was my choice to sleep in a hot room or live with bad smell from outside., so i decided to opened the window. when we checked in around 2100 there was a try with empty dished in the corridor in front of other door, when i checked out around 08 next morning, they were there. Disinfectant in the elevator was empty. Breakfast was very basic. but was OK. dinning area was clean. Rooms of this hotel has seen its good days at-least 20 years ago. I will never be staying here again. even if i have to continue driving for another few hours.

Nevertheless, I am very surprised by the remarks you made about the various odors perceived because no other customer has complained, and my staff, including our housekeeper, has not noticed anything particular either. Otherwise, it is quite obvious that we would have done what was necessary and installed the odor destroyer. Moreover, all our rooms are equipped with air conditioning, which is still in operation in mid-September. Outside temperature was 36°c - 38°c - inside the hotel the air conditioning worked perfectly and life was liveable. We were totally satisfied with our stay in this Novotel and should we return to this region we will without doubt stay in this hotel again.
