With air con, Foxtel and wifi all not working and no response after reporting this to Accor I was very disappointed. Outside the unit the overall site was very good. Try Novatel Twin Water instead. The food and facilities were great.

Our family stayed at the Sebel for a birthday recently and none of us wanted to leave. We had a 4 bdrm beach house and 3x 3 bdrm apartments lagoon view (highly recommend). You get 2 parking spaces for the apartments, trolleys in the basement to help get your bags to the room and elevators were fast and NOT busy lol. Beach house was huge and we used if for our base house (had it's own swimming pool, pool table, BBQ on 3 levels), lagoon apartments were really spacious, had everything we needed (full kitchen, laundry, lounge) and awesome views. It was hard finding a place that could accommodate our group size so we were really happy when we found the Sebel. Staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were an easy walk to each other (my 73yr old mother did it with ease). The Novatel is right next door (they share the lagoon and was an easy walking distance), Sebel guests can share ALL their facilities including kayaks and catamarans (our family LOVED the kayaks and activities on the lagoon) Plenty of family activities in the area (within 10-15mins). Holey Moley putt putt, Timezone, Bli Bli Aqua Park (you won't get bored). Beach is close and there's walking paths from the hotel. There were at least 2 pools at the Sebel, we used the main pool which was much quieter than the big pool at Novatel. Bottom line, HIGHLY recommend THE SEBEL.

The Novotel side, and activities people, GREAT. Luke was so good helping our two grandkids. BUT on the Sebel side, some things need to,improve. One again the oven in our apartment was so old you could not read the dials, there was foil on the oven pans to cover the burnt on oil. No instruction books. BBQ was newish and v.good. These places need to be made to keep up a certain standard. As a gold member there were no extras. Have been coming here since 2010 but quite likely not again.

The location is serene and beautiful, particularly for dog lovers (disclaimer - I am not into pets of any kind). The cleanliness of the unit we stayed is less than ideal, particularly in this current play of COVID-19. The bathroom glasses were smudged and the living room settee had white smudges (we had to spread blankets to seat on the set) that could have been from past occupants amorous dealings. There were inadequate kitchen utensils and the ones available have seen better days. I hope the management will do regular audits of the apartments and rectify issues early. Overall, a great hideout, serene ambience but the cleanliness and poor state of the unit we stayed made it an average stay.

Bit disappointing this time around.

On a positive note, I achieved my diamond status so that was pretty cool. It was for my daughters' 18th & she had heaps of fun, so that was great for her. The house we stay in is always nice, but there were a couple of issues that were not tended to this time around. * You couldn't unlock the garage door from inside the garage as the lock was no longer working properly. Staff were advised & nothing was done about it. * I asked twice about the Foxtel that wasn't working. Somebody came around to look at it. They got it partially working & told me they would have to come back tomorrow to get it working properly. I didn't hear from anybody until we left. I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE. I heard from one of the owners' that the person who used to run the complex left a little while ago. This could be part of the reason, but the service was certainly not up to the standard of what we expect. I'm due back there in early March, I really hope they have their stuff together before then.
