Great hotel with excellent location. Close to train station, metro and buses as well as airport express tram. 20 minutes walk from centre. Great shopping centre in the vicinity. Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

I wish, Accor would charge EUR 1.00 more per room per night, - and improve the quality of the Toilet Paper. In our country, even the Toilet Paper on Motorway Cafés is better. Also - I expected a Nespresso Coffee machine for the price of EUR 180 per night.

We wanted to take a train to Geneva and other areas. This hotel is adjacent to a major train station. In addition, there is a team, the Rhône Express, right across the street that goes to/from the airport. Finally, all rental car agencies are next door to the hotel. The only negative is that the hot breakfast wasn’t ready at the times advertised and told to us by the front desk. And when it was available, the eggs were cold. I don’t know if they didn’t know how to use the machines but the hot chocolate was always cold and the hot water for tea wasn’t always on. However we were happy overall. If you want to stay in old Lyon it is 45 minute walk from the hotel. The major food market is just 20 minutes walk and fabulous.

It was quite a good choice to opt for Mercure Part Dieu!The satff was very kind and helpful and we got the best upgrade in our lives! The room was spacious we could have free access tominibar and tere was a good caffe machine avaible as well!

A stones throw away from the station well presented hotel. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. Rooms are well equipped and in very good condition. Small menu in the restaurant but the staff are attentive without being over the top. Breakfast is of really good quality with plenty of choice.

A Modern well-designed hotel next to PartDieu Train Station. Rooms are big and clean, which is ideal for a family with 2 young kids. Excellent variety of products on breakfast. Access by public transport to downtown as well as to Lyon's international Airport

I enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect for anyone coming/going by train, the rooms were spacious and the wine bar well-equipped. There was only one huge shortcoming in my case: I had recently had a neck injury, and the pillows were horribly hard. Thus I slept very badly, and not because of the passing trains, because the noise isolation was good. Since I stayed 3 nights, I asked the reception several times for a softer pillow, but a hotel of this standing could NOT provide it. This can be done by the concurrent hotel chains with the same standing! So I might not come back.after all, notwithstanding the many good qualities of the hotel.

Our room was extremely specious and perfect for our 6 night stay. We were travelling by rail and being so close to the station meant we had freedom of movement. We only used the Metro once, preferring the easy walk into the centre, about 30-35 minutes. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at, in Europe. Ideal location in the centre of Lyon. Right next to Part Dieu railway station, which had me worried about the noise. However, the insulation was that good, we heard nothing. The air conditioning was also the quietest I've ever had. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we were there to visit our daughter and her partner, and ate out every night. The breakfast though, was the best and most comprehensive I've had in many years. Buffet style, which We prefer, as we can take our pick of the items we enjoy and what a selection there was. Room wise, we had no complaint although we had opted for a superior room, which was huge, with a separate Wc and a shower room. A huge flat screen TV with every non premier channel. The wifi was superb with great signal and no limit on the number of accessories. Usually it is just two, which for a couple, means 1 tablet or laptop and 1 mobile phone. Not here!

Our trip to Lyon was brief but the Mercure provided all we needed. It was well located, and the room was a delight. The staff spoke English well, and provided us with tips and hints, made even more important due to the weather being very ordinary. Overall, a great stay

Although hotel is next railway, room is quiet and sound proof. Improvement can be as below: 1) no toothbrush and toothpaste 2) mineral water is not refilled 3) small bottle of shower gel is not refilled.

Very close to the central train station. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast buffet. Excellent for person arriving for a conference or for short business purpose. The staff were very helpful, polite and available 24hrs .

Everything was very good. My reason for giving 4 and not 5 is that I thought they were poor on towels - all on the smallish side and a bit thin. Ideal location for station but not noisy. Excellent breakfast

This was our second stay at this hotel located just next to the Lyon Part Dieu train station which is convenient for us since we travel to Lyon from Paris by TGV. Reception staff are excellent and the room was again very quiet and comfortable. Our only slight gripe about the room is that the lighting and wall mirror in the bathroom is not condusive to makeup for my wife or beard-trimming for me. In fact we both found the lighting and mirror in the separate toilet far better for both activities! However, as experienced on our previous stay, we found the bar/restaurant staff to be less than acceptably responsive. Once again, we sat down in the lounge and then after 10 minutes or so with no service, I had to go to the bar to order our drinks. Similarly in the restaurant, not only we but several other tables found we needed to ask for the bill when it was obvious that our meals were finished. There appear to be sufficient numbers of staff but they do not seem capable of managing guests under what is not really a high table-to-staff ratio. I have eaten in many other restaurants where considerably a lesser number of staff have successfully managed a similar number of tables.
