There is a staff shortage but if you are going to charge £200 per night for an Ibis hotel should do better

Ibis is a three star chain so we weren't expecting luxury. All fine and as expected at that level but neither the TV remote on button nor he button on the set would turn it on. Asked reception to look at it on our first morning, they said they would but didn't and nothing more happened

The location is great. The rooms are really nice. There was some issue with check in, but that was resolved in a timely matter. The people in the lobby tend to hide behind their « system » though, when you want to check if your room is available, they won’t go beyond checking their system, and tell you they can’t know until it updates. Which is a bit annoying. Other than that this is a good place to stay

We arrived at hotel about 2.45 and queued for 15 minutes to then be told no twin rooms were ready at that time. We went downstairs to get ourselves a cup of tea. Half an hour later we went back to reception and queued again to be told no rooms ready. Ben was very apologetic and gave us a drinks voucher. About 20 minutes later Ben came and found us to say a room had become available. The room was pleasant enough but we had to find a cleaner to get us a remote for the television. Friday night was horrendous. We went to our room at 11 and there was music playing with the base just pounding again till after 2. We mentioned it the next morning at breakfast and was told that there was a nightclub below the hotel. We went to reception to say about it and was told that there was no other complaints but they could give us ear plugs. Well if there were no other complaints why have a drawer full of ear plugs. No mention of being above a nightclub when we booked because we wouldn’t have gone there. We had a lovely long awaited trip that was spoilt by lack of sleep.

Very disappointed. I have stayed in nicer college dorms. Beds were small and uncomfortable. Bathroom reeked of urine. No amenities. Staff was in experienced and unhelpful. Location was good, but you should stay elsewhere…you can easily do better.

We had a vent in the room and it would not stop making weird noises - couldn't sleep and wouldn't turn off even though we turn the temperature down 😳🥺🤔 Apart from that food was nice and Arthur's Seat is really near . Lots of shops to visit and handy having a late night closing Sainsbury's nextdoor but one 👍
