Hotel needs refurbishing, feels old and weary. Carpets and room cleanliness is dubious - they changed room, it was a bit better. Glad it was only one night. On a more positive note, the staff is good.

Aircon did not work - blew out hot air. Had to sleep with the balcony door wide open - traffic noise and insects. Told receptionist in the morning - she already seemed to know the aircon was broken and was generally uninterested.

The hotel is well situated, clean and the staff were friendly, so that's all positive. No issues with the hot water (so often a problem in an older hotel), although the aircon was noisy and not that effective, or easy to set. So no great issues, but for the price the hotel is definitely showing its' age - and not in a good way. Clearly it is well maintained (no peeling paint / wallpaper), but it desperately needs an upgrade / refurbishment.

We again enjoyed our stay in this well located hotel.It is dog friendly and has on site car parking which have great advantage for us.A good dinner was enjoyed as was breakfast.The staff were efficient and welcoming. As has been previously commented by us and others the hotel rooms are very tired and dinghy and are in need of refurbishment very much so!

Very difficult to find using navi in small streets of busy city. Access to spa treatments limited without a package - could he far better advertised or have better offers. No acknowledgement of gold membership - complimentary drink not offered nor anything else to promote accor. Gentleman on reception at arrival was great.

At time of booking we requested a room in a quiet location. We were situated at the back of the hotel overlooking the pool. Unfortuantely this side of the building was used for deliveries woken up by a lorry 4.45am and this continued until before we left. No toiletries available in room: body lotion, conditioner, shampoo no face cloths. Hotel was old and needed lots of money spending refurbishing, Air con didnt work effectively. Wouldn't recommend expected more from a Mecure.

Howfull sleep , materess hard as rock, huge time to refresh the place , paints must be more than 25 years ,however b'fast was ok , morning working staff cool and prevenant ! I will not get back to this place for sure !

We again stayed at this well located hotel,close to the City Centre.It offers good car parking.Friendly efficient staff.Our room was comfortable but lighting levels were poor,as ever. We had an excellent dinner yet again.

This hotel has no atmosphere. It is a spa, but feels more like a clinic. There is nothing grossly wrong with it, but also nothing outstanding. Breakfast very ordinary Accor club privileges completely ignored when we checked in. .

We stay at this well located Hotel probably 6 times per annum.It is well run and service is always very good.Dinner is enjoyable as is breakfast.Secure car parking is a plus so near the town/city centre.The hotel rooms are however in need of refurbishment and redecoration as they are dinghy and the exterior including the balconies need painting to bring standards up o those expected for the room prices charged.

This is a really lovely hotel. We only stayed one night but would enjoy staying longer. It has a nice pool with a terrace and, as the weather was good, we were able to dine outside as the restaurant also has a terrace. The room was extremely comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful.

The hotel is located very close to the centre of Vichy, with excellent parking and good facilities. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area, whether for business or leisure. I've noticed a common theme with the Accor Hotels I have stayed in, that being the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. That was very much the case here.

Very disappointed by the whole stay. The hotel is not at all a 4-star Mercure such as others we stayed at this summer (for instance the Mercure Perigueux Centre). On our arrival we asked for some indication for a restaurant and we were shown on the map a part of Vichy, where we went (after quite a walk) and found every restaurant closed for the summer holidays, only to find on our own a nice area along the river at only 5 minutes from the hotel with nice restaurants and a lively atmosphere. The structure is out-dated, needing full restoration, even the carpet in the room had an unpleasant discoloring due to something having been badly spilled on it. In the room Wifi was quite unstable and cleanliness dubious and though we asked for a quiet room, there was a continuous noise from some machines placed probably on the roof. No Italian channels on the TV.

Хороший отель. Номер делюкс - кофе машина и ванна отличие от стандарт. Капсул для кофемашины мало, сливки и чай клали не регулярно. пылесосили не всегда. Сам отель и расположение очень хорошее.

Very nice rooms, with a good restaurant and a sumptuous breakfast menu. Nice friendly staff. Very close to city centre, and almost everything worth visiting in Vichy is a walking distance from here. Only sad part was that the spa connected to the hotel was closed, but there was a gret one just next door.

95 degrees F and no air conditioning. the hotel manager says it does not operate optimally at 95! Wifi also out, he blamed it on the internet provider (no backup plan) and the carpet is stained when you exit the 6th floor elevator. I am 30+ years in real estate asset management NYC all classes and now teach International Real Estate Management in Paris in the Masters program at two grand ecoles. The manager and the regional director of Accor should be fired and banned from the industry. What a ignoramus the hotel manager is to tell me the air conditioning does not operate optimally when it is hot! About the carpet, let me tell you, no matter what the type of real estate, I always tell people that you can tell how well a place is maintained if you look down. If the floor is not maintained, neither is the rest of the place. A hotel should have several hundred yards of spare carpet in storage and whenever carpet is torn or permanently stained the piece is cut out and replaced. Should I also mention that one of the two elevators was stuck on the 6th floor! Accor sinks to a new low with this place and I must seriously question my fidelity to this lackluster brand.

We were assured that air conditioning in the room would be functional.It was not,we were given a fan but this is not the same.When oh when will they do what they say? Otherwise another acceptable stay.

Запах в комнате. Поздняя уборка в 14-15 час. Шумный унитаз. Навязчивая горничная. Хороший завтрак, хороший ресторан. Приветливость на рецепшн. Однако знание английского у персонала низкое. Многое не понимают.

A Hotel Befitting a Grand Town

We had been to Vichy before this was our fourth visit but this as the first time we had used the Mercure. Antonio made us very welcome and reassured me about the car parking arrangements, we could have used the underground facility but we were assured it wasn't necessary, as we had been to Vichy before we took he word (we was proved to be right). Two things, loved the quality of the television and the shower, but alas we didn't use them both at the same time. Sleep quality was superb and plenty of room to relax. There appeared to be minimal staff on duty but somehow service was very swift but comfortable. However I must say that the Hotel and the town appear to cater for a 50+ age group which is a shame. We were walking around town at 18:00 on a Sunday evening and the shops were still open, this is not only unusual in France, but where in the UK does this happen? Another good point about the Mercure Hotel is that you can get an evening meal on a Sunday, at another hotel in Vichy about five years ago we were reprimanded for just looking at the menu. Vichy does have its "History" but its saviour must be it still has many wonderful buildings, a park (with bandstand) and then there are the Spa's, it is actually a lively town. Though, I imagine the "Vichy Water" is an acquired taste, I opened a bottle from the fridge during the night and thought the cleaners had left some of their materials behind. This was just an overnight stop, we timed our journey to get there mid afternoon, we had gone out of our way a bit but it was worthwhile revisiting a favourite place that doesn't disappoint.
