The restaurant service where very rude and not helpful. I even got sick from eating at the restaurant. They would often say they would help or get something and then never return. We often felt like we, the customers, where in the way of their job (which apparently wasn’t to help and service the customers). Most of the staff had an arrogant attitude. And the stay was even very pricey.

Everything was perfect - the room was clean and spacious. The hotel and pool were lovely and a big thumbs up for the professional, helpful and cheerful staff. The only little hiccup was not having covered parking for our vehicle because its height would not fit in to the underground parking lot.

This was not we looked forward to. Actually this property did not even met the standards we have seen at Ibis Budget properties. The size of this place might have something to do with it, but we have waited in line for everything; getting in the parking (which was full),getting out of the garage to park somewhere else, checkin. But the lines at breakfast were the worst. A second outlet would do the trick even in the Covid-period we are living in. We did not even go for a second cup of coffee or piece of banquette because of the 10min wait. However, the location of the hotel is great..just of the autoroute and with a shopping centre a 15min walk away you can find a good meal before turning in. We had a triple room but underneath the fold up were the souvenirs the previous guests left (chewing gum and wrappers)

Air conditioning was set at 5 degrees but yea it felt like 25 degrees. Asked for fan or cooler but neither was available. Staff offered a room change which was just opposite. Aor conditiong was a bit better but again the number os not correct. I set the ac at 5degree but but felt like 20-25. Food portion are of kids size! I'd rather order online and if possible avoid the stay. Bar staff was friendly though.

Stayed here as a family of four - myself, my husband and two teenage boys. Wasn’t sure what to expect but we certainly weren’t disappointed. The room was lovely, clean and spacious - it was a suite on the second floor. There were lots of little useful extras in the room including a stocked mini bar (complimentary soft drinks and nuts), a jar of sweets as well as the usual toiletries plus some extras eg shaving kits. The staff were very friendly and the bar attendant even went searching for a local channel showing the Community Shield game which certainly pleased my eldest son. He also recommended a rather nice local rosè wine which didn’t disappoint. There are plenty of things to keep younger and older children entertained including a small swimming pool, fuse-ball and an arcade game. There was a good selection of food available at the dinner buffet and breakfast. Overall, the hotel was extremely clean and well maintained as well as being ‘pretty to look at’ inside. We didn’t venture out so can’t comment on the location in relation to the City Centre. We would most definitely visit again if coming to this area.

The trip lasted a week during which I have traveled Lyon. The sites suggested by Lyon Tourist information were interesting and I manages during this week to visit most of them. In my opinion, the best was a guided tour in the st jean area.

Our overall stay was quite good. Room was a good size with a balcony. Breakfast was good and staff on duty were excellent and very obliging. Staff at checkin desk could be more polite and hospitable. The lady who checked us in was rather cold and like a robot. When I later asked a member of staff for an iron who told me ask at reception. There was a large queue at reception and he walked off. Not helpful at all. Very disappointed on these aspects.

All in all it was a good choice for an overnight to split up the road trip south. The reason I did not give it a higher rating is because of the restaurant. Unbeknown to us they only offer a buffet on the weekends in summer. 22euros per person over 12 years old. The food was not appealing and there are few options within walking distance. after a day in the car it would have been nice to have had a choice or even a small meal option. We walked 5 min to Iberica for tapas and mojitos that were fabulous. This is a pet friendly hotel which is a bonus.

Room+Breakfast+Staff : Very Good. 4 comments : [1/4] MAJOR : About NOVOTEL Yield Management policy : price amplitude & penalty far too high for customers who can't book their stay in advance [2/4] MAJOR : The 2 desktops computers in free access close to the FrontDesk / Reception have disappeared : Why ? Can they be put back ? Extremely useful for customers travelling without a laptop to quickly look at Office documents or to print flights reservations or to look at a map . tasks for which smartphones are not convenient [3/4] Minor : Former desks in rooms were really convenient for working. Now replaced by a too small & useless table : Why ? [4/4] Minor : Procedure at garage entrance to review for late arrival between 22:30 & 23:00 : Black button seems not to ring at Front desk and if Novotel logo already appears on the small LCD display, calling by pressing the bell button does not call either the Front desk unless you actively select it (but you need to realise this) => Had to call the hotel by mobile phone to ask to open the garage gate when we arrived (Fri 05 Jan.2018 #22:45) otherwise blocked in front of the Garage gate.
